RIVER WITHAM.

The river taken from the top of Boston Stump.
Note the tidel part of the river below the bridges and the way the river is maintained at a constant level above for navigation., also the way the rivers are controlled between high banks, all rivers on the east coast area around Anglia and the Wash are controlled in this manner.

This photo shows the Bridgewater Canal going over the Barton Swing Aqueduct, the Manchester Ship Canal is seen below. The Barton swing road bridge is also well portraid.
