CALDONIAN CANAL

The flight of four locks at Muirtown, near Inverness on Thomas Telfords great canal that crosses Scotland linking the North Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, it links the lochs, Dochfour, Ness, Oich and Lochy. The canal is a superb cruising waterway which can also be used by craft wanting to avoid the long journry around the north of scotland.
The canal is 60 miles long with 29 locks.
